The President of the African Court Hon Lady Justice Imani Daud Aboud led a delegation to Ethiopia from 2-6 October 2022 on a sensitisation visit and met key officials including the Minister of Justice Hon Gideon Timotheos, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Tesfaye Yilma, the President of the Ethiopian Federal Supreme Court Hon Meaza Ashenafi and the Chief Commissioner of Ethiopian Human Rights Commission Dr Daniel Bekele.
The Court, in collaboration with the Ethiopian government and the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission, also organised a well-attended sensitisation seminar for Human Rights stakeholders which was graced by the State Minister at the Ministry of Justice Hon. H.E. Fekadu Tsega. The training was also conducted for the CSOs. An MoU, the first of its kind, was signed between the Court and the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia to impart experiences between the two judicial organs.
