Article 49
State reporting procedure
1. State Parties shall submit every two years, from the date the Charter comes into force, a report to the Commission on the legislative or other relevant measures taken with a view to giving effect to the principles and commitments of the Charter; 2. A copy of the report shall be submitted to the relevant organs of the Union for appropriate action within their respective mandates; 3. The Commission shall prepare and submit to the Assembly, through the Executive Council, a synthesized report on the implementation of the Charter; 4. The Assembly shall take appropriate measures aimed at addressing issues raised in the report.
