United Republic of Tanzania (from 19 to 20 March, 2018)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(ii) Application 001\/2015\u2014Armand Guehi v. United Republic of Tanzania&nbsp;(22 March, 2018)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his application, Mr Pennesis is claiming that he is a Tanzanian citizen and has been illegally detained in Tanzania prison for illegal presence which is contrary to the Tanzania Constitution, the Protocol 1 to the Geneva Convention (Rule 59.1) and the Geneva Convention (Rules 1 to 4). Case Summary click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.african-court.org\/images\/Cases\/Case%20Summaries\/Website%20summary.pdf\">here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0In the second application, Mr Guehi, an Ivorian national, who has been convicted and sentenced to death for murdering his wife, is challenging the conviction on the ground that it violated his right to a fair trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The public hearings will be live streamed via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/africancourt\/channels\/live\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/africancourt\/channels\/live<\/a>&nbsp;from 09H00-1300 and 14H00-16H00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NOTES FOR EDITORS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1.
