Elle est en m\u00eame temps Juge \u00e0 la Haute Cour de l\u2019\u00c9tat de Rivers, au Nig\u00e9ria.&nbsp; La Juge Thompson a \u00e9t\u00e9 admise au Barreau d\u2019Angleterre en 1984 apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu un dipl\u00f4me de LLB, Honours, de Queen Mary College University de Londres et elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 admise au barreau du Nig\u00e9ria en&nbsp; 1985.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant sa nomination comme Juge de la Haute Cour, la Juge Thompson a travaill\u00e9&nbsp;&nbsp; comme juriste en client\u00e8le priv\u00e9e pendant 20 ans, notamment dans le domaine des droits de l\u2019homme. Elle a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs postes dans plusieurs associations, notamment la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration internationale des femmes juristes (FIDA) o\u00f9 elle a servi en qualit\u00e9 de Vice-pr\u00e9sidente r\u00e9gionale pour l\u2019Afrique.
