Arusha, 24 June 2025<\/em><\/strong>:<\/strong> The African Court on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights (AfCHPR) will on Thursday, 26 June 2025<\/strong> deliver thirteen (13) decisions adopted during its 76th<\/sup> and 77th<\/sup> Ordinary Sessions, at the Seat of the Court in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of decisions will be at the Seat of the Court in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania and virtually start from 10:00AM (Arusha time), marking the conclusion of the 77th<\/sup> Ordinary Session of the Court, held from 2-27 June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. The African Court on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights (AfCHPR) is a continental court established by African Union Member States to ensure the protection of human and peoples’ rights in Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. The Court is composed of eleven Judges, nationals of Member States of the African Union elected in their individual capacity. The Court meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may hold Extra-Ordinary Sessions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. The Court\u2019s mandate includes hearing cases and disputes concerning the interpretation and application of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, as well as any other human rights instrument ratified by the concerned States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
