Arusha le 22 septembre 2023<\/strong>: La Cour africaine des droits de l\u2019homme et des peuples et la Cour de Justice de l\u2019Union Economique et Mon\u00e9taire Ouest Africaine (la Cour de justice de l\u2019UEMOA) ont tenu leur deuxi\u00e8me dialogue judiciaire entre les deux Cours \u00e0 Arusha (R\u00e9publique-Unie de Tanzanie) le 20 septembre 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Dialogue judiciaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 copr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par la Pr\u00e9sidente de la Cour africaine, l\u2019Honorable Juge Imani D. ABOUD et le Pr\u00e9sident de la Cour de justice de l\u2019UEMOA, l\u2019Honorable Juge Mahawa S\u00e9mou DIOUF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Dialogue a vis\u00e9 le renforcement de la coop\u00e9ration entre les deux Cours et l\u2019examen des opportunit\u00e9s et perspectives de coop\u00e9ration judiciaire. Lors des travaux, les deux Cours ont abord\u00e9 diverses questions relatives \u00e0 leurs mandats respectifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des expos\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s, respectivement par les deux Cours, suivis d\u2019\u00e9changes concernant, entre autres, leurs structures, les proc\u00e9dures de nomination des juges et leur mandat, leur financement, la saisine des deux Cours, la recevabilit\u00e9 des plaintes et requ\u00eates, la jurisprudence dans le domaine des droits de l’homme, et le chevauchement de leurs comp\u00e9tences. Les deux Cours ont \u00e9galement examin\u00e9 les d\u00e9fis auxquels elles sont confront\u00e9es pour s’acquitter efficacement de leur comp\u00e9tence, notamment l’insuffisance des ressources financi\u00e8res et humaines, le respect de leurs d\u00e9cisions et les m\u00e9canismes mis en place pour assurer la mise en \u0153uvre de ces d\u00e9cisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 l\u2019issue du Dialogue, les deux Cours ont sign\u00e9 un Protocole d\u2019accord pour une p\u00e9riode de trois (3) ans, \u00e0 compter du 20 septembre 2023. Dans le cadre du Protocole d\u2019accord, les deux Cours ont convenu des initiatives visant la r\u00e9alisation de leurs missions respectives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
