Appointment of Judges of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights

 

At the end of the 15th AU Summit held in Kampala, Uganda, from July 19^th to 27th, the Conference of Heads of State and Government has appointed the following persons as judges of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights who have been elected by the 17th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council held in July from 22nd to 23rd, 2010 in Kampala :

Mr. Sylvain Ore – Ivory Coast – Term of Office: 4 years

Mr. Fatsah Ouguergouz (re-elected) – Algeria – Term of Office: 6 years

Mr. Augustino S. L. Ramadhani – Tanzania – Term of Office: 6 years

Mr. Duncan Tambala – Malawi –  Term of Office: 6 years

Ms. Eisie Nwanwuri Thompson  – Nigeria – Term of Office: 6 years
