The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights has collaborations with various institutions. It has a statutory collaboration with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. It has also established contacts with Courts and Tribunals of the Regional Economic Communities as well as with the European and Inter-American Human Rights Courts.

To supplement its funding sources, the Court has co-operation agreements with the German International Cooperation that implements the support rendered by the Federal German Government; the European Union Commission under the Strategic Partnership Programme with the African Union Commission and the MacArthur Foundation. Further co-operation with other partners is being considered.
