AFRICAN COURT ON HUMAN AND PEOPLES’ RIGHTS TO DELIVER FIVE JUDGMENTS TOMORROW

Arusha, 20 March, 2018: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) tomorrow, (21 March, 2018), will deliver four Judgments at its seat in Arusha, Tanzania.

The Judgments are in the matters of:

(i) Application 012/2015—Anudo Ochieng Anudo v. The United Republic of Tanzania (Case summary)

(ii) Application 006/2015—Nguza Viking and Johnson Nguza v. The United Republic of Tanzania (Case summary)

(iii) Application 032/2015—Kijiji Isiaga v. The United Republic of Tanzania (Case summary)

(iv) Application 040/2016—Mariam Kouma and Ousmane Diabete v. Mali (Case Summary)

(v) Application 038/2016—Gombert Jean Claude Roger v. Côte d’Ivoire (Case summary)

The judgments will be delivered at the Kibo Hall at the AfCHPR premises at the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) building, Burka area, along Dodoma Road, at 14H00 (2pm East African time) and the public is invited.
The judgments will be live-streamed on https://www.youtube.com/user/africancourt/channels/live

NOTES FOR EDITORS:

1. The Court is composed of eleven judges, nationals of Member States of the African Union elected in their individual capacity.
2. The Court meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may meet in Extra-Ordinary Session.
