The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights has closed proceedings in the matter of Tanganyika Law Society, The Legal and Human Rights Centre and Reverend Christopher Mtikila v. the United Republic of Tanzania after two days of public hearing.

The matter concerns alleged violations of Mtikila’s rights to contest in general elections as an independent candidate
