On 13 September 2012 the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights launched at Arusha Palace Hotel a two-day workshop to validate its Strategic Plan for the period 2012-2015.
The overall objective of the workshop was to discuss and finalize the Draft Strategic Plan of the Court for 2012-2015 which was prepared in collaboration with Francis Inganji, an expert consultant in the design of institutional strategic plans. To enrich the draft, the Court invited its partners and other stakeholders and representatives of other regional institutions to the workshop to bring their inputs in the strategic plan project.
This is the first Strategic Plan the Court is developing, and will outline its mission and vision, as well as set out its activities and strategic objectives and its relationships with other bodies for the next 4 years.
The workshop was attended by representatives of some regional bodies partners of the African Court like the African Union Commission, the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the Pan African Parliament, etc. It was also attended by the representatives of the European Union and the German Cooperation Organization (GIZ) which have developed close partnerships with Court and support some of its projects.
